The Captive Heart by Dale Cramer

Will the bandits ever stop? Still getting used to their home in Paradise Valley, the Benders are shocked when Rachel is kidnapped, and her brother, Aaron is left for dead.  They are peaceful Amish, they do not want war.  As if things were not bad enough, Caleb is worried about his daughter Miriam emotions. It would not do for his daughter to marry someone who is not Amish. She would not dare. Through the challenges, the Benders learn what it means to rely truly on God.
I really enjoyed this book. It had a fantastic plot, and a wholly unique one at that!  I loved the idea of the Amish living in Mexico. I have never read the first book in this series, but I plan to soon! I really liked the characters, and the way the author weaved the story.  I enjoyed the character description as well, it was extremely vivid. Overall, this book most definitely won my approval. It is among my very favorites, I loved it. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves to read Amish novels, and to anyone who likes a great, suspenseful, and romantic plot. I would like to give this book ten out of ten stars!
I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.
